Ayodhya Ram temple currently lacks a chief priest

The Ayodhya Ram temple will not have a chief priest for now, according to Champat Rai, General Secretary of the temple trust. He stated that no one matches the age and respect of the late chief priest, Satyendra Das, who passed away in February. Rai reported that the temple's construction is 96% complete and expected to finish by June 2025. The trust has spent Rs 2,150 crore on the project and paid Rs 396 crore in taxes over the past five years. In the last year, 16 crore visitors have come to Ayodhya since the temple's consecration on January 22, 2024. The trust's financial records are regularly audited by the Comptroller and Auditor General.
