Backpacker diagnosed with brain tumor after Thailand trip
Connor McCrossan, 24, fell ill while backpacking in Thailand, initially diagnosed with a tropical virus. After returning to the UK, an MRI revealed he had medulloblastoma, a rare brain tumor primarily found in children. Following surgery and a six-week course of proton beam therapy, Connor's recent scans show no signs of cancer.
