Bacolod bishop alerts public about unrecognized missionary priest

Bishop Patricio Buzon of Bacolod has issued a warning about a man claiming to be a missionary priest. Rev. Fr. Mario D. Divina is not recognized by the Roman Catholic Church and does not belong to the diocese. Buzon stated that the Chaplaincy of the Holy Trinity, which Divina claims to represent, has not been established. He cautioned that any sacraments or documents issued by Divina may be invalid and unlawful. The bishop urged the public to seek sacraments and blessings only from authorized parish churches and recognized priests within the diocese.
