Bahraini National Guard chief celebrates Pakistan Day in Islamabad
Sheikh Mohammed bin Isa Al-Khalifa, the head of Bahrain’s National Guard, took part in Pakistan Day celebrations in Islamabad on Sunday. This event marks Pakistan's adoption of its first constitution in 1956, making it the first Islamic republic in the world. During the celebrations, Sheikh Mohammed shared greetings from King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa and Crown Prince Salman bin Hamad Al-Khalifa of Bahrain with Pakistani leaders. The festivities were attended by many senior Pakistani officials, including President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. Sheikh Mohammed expressed his hopes for Pakistan's ongoing progress, prosperity, and stability. He has been visiting Pakistan since last week, where he met with key military and political figures, including the air force chief and the chairperson of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee. On the same day, the Saudi leadership also sent congratulations to President Zardari for Pakistan's National Day. King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman wished him good health and the people of Pakistan continued progress and prosperity.
