Baldur's Gate 3 Patch 8 may release late March 2025

Baldur's Gate 3 is preparing for its Patch 8 release, which has generated a lot of excitement among players. The developers, Larian Studios, are currently stress testing the patch and have shared some details about the new content coming soon. Patch 8 will introduce 12 new subclasses for characters in the game. Some of these include the Bard’s College of Glamour, the Barbarian’s Path of Giants, and the Wizard's Bladesinging. Players are eager to learn how these subclasses will affect gameplay. As of now, there is no official release date for Patch 8. However, predictions suggest it could be available in the last week of March or the first week of April. This guess is based on the release pattern seen with the previous Patch 7. The stress test for Patch 8 began on January 28, 2025. Earlier patches took about six weeks between tests and their full releases. Since Larian is taking more time with this patch, it may indicate that they want to ensure everything works well, especially with the introduction of crossplay. So far, there have been two updates to the Patch 8 stress test on February 6 and February 26. Another update is expected soon, and a confirmed release date might follow shortly after that. In addition to new subclasses, Patch 8 will also feature crossplay, allowing friends on different platforms to play together. A photo mode will also be included, making it easier for players to capture stunning in-game moments. For now, fans can only wait for more news from Larian Studios.
