Baldwinsville High School lockdown lifted; student in custody

Baldwinsville high school is on lockdown after a student was reported to have a BB gun. The student is now in police custody, according to school officials. The lockdown at Baker High School led to two other schools in the district being placed on lockout. These schools are Elden Elementary and Durgee Junior High. Superintendent Joseph M. DeBarbieri informed parents about the situation and said updates would be provided. Law enforcement, including Baldwinsville police and Onondaga County sheriff's deputies, are on-site. They are conducting searches in each classroom, and a shelter-in-place order is in effect for the high school. Officials confirmed that all students and staff are safe.
