Bali Nine inmate Matthew Norman returns to Australia and moves into $4 million mansion in Torquay
Matthew Norman, a member of the Bali Nine, has returned to Australia after nearly 20 years in a Bali prison. He will move into a $4 million waterfront mansion in Torquay, following his arrival in Melbourne. Norman, 38, was part of a group convicted for attempting to smuggle heroin in 2005. He was sentenced to death, later reduced to life in prison. He is now one of the last remaining members of the Bali Nine to be released. His new home, offered by a couple he befriended in prison, features four bedrooms and is near a family-friendly beach. Norman's Indonesian wife and her daughter are expected to join him, pending visa approval.
