Train services to and from Balochistan are expected to resume next weekend after being suspended due to an attack on the Jaffar Express. Railway officials are completing repairs and maintenance on the track, which should take three days. The attack caused significant damage, derailing three coaches and damaging the locomotive. A 600-meter section of the track was also affected. Operations will restart once security clearance is received. The government announced a compensation package of Rs5.2 million for the families of the attack victims, along with job offers for their children.
