Banaras Literature Festival showcased creativity and performances
The Banaras Literature Festival recently took place over three days, celebrating creativity in the city. The event included a variety of activities, such as discussion sessions and performances. Actress and singer Ila Arun also participated in discussions, reflecting on her family's roots in Kannauj, UP. She shared interesting stories about her lineage, connecting her identity to the region. The festival featured a lively performance by the band Indian Ocean, which thrilled the audience. They began their show with a song in Sanskrit and also performed a tribute to poet Kabir. When they sang their popular song, "Tu Kisi Rail Si Guzarti Hai," the crowd erupted with excitement. In addition to music, the festival showcased artwork through dedicated galleries.
