Bandi Sanjay accuses Congress of promoting gun culture
Union Minister Bandi Sanjay Kumar criticized the Congress party on Sunday, claiming it seeks to promote a "gun culture" in Telangana through education. He expressed concern that the Congress party is influencing textbooks with ideologies linked to urban Naxals. Sanjay stated that while the central government aims to equip students with education and values, the Congress party has a different agenda. He pointed out that some individuals he terms "urban Naxals" are being included in education panels. He questioned the reasoning behind this decision. His comments were made during a meeting in Karimnagar, where the Telangana Prantha Upadhyaya Sangam honored newly elected Members of the Legislative Council, Malka Komaraiah and Chinnamile Anji Reddy. Sanjay also took aim at the Congress government, claiming it has not cleared five pending Dearness Allowances for government employees and teachers. He noted that the pending bills add up to ₹8,000 crore, and retirement benefits are also delayed, totaling ₹11,000 crore. He further alleged that a leader from the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) was involved in counterfeit currency operations in Karnataka. Sanjay accused authorities of preventing Telangana police from shutting down the printing press producing fake notes, which he claimed were used in elections.
