Bandi Sanjay criticizes DMK for inciting regional hatred
Bandi Sanjay, the Union Minister of State for Home Affairs, criticized a meeting held by the DMK-led Joint Action Committee (JAC) about delimitation. Speaking to reporters in Karimnagar, he accused opposition parties of creating regional tensions by falsely claiming that South India is being treated unfairly. Sanjay stated that the central government has not made any decisions regarding delimitation. He asserted that claims made by opposition parties are intended to serve their political interests. He emphasized that disturbing the number of Parliamentary seats in South India will not happen, noting that this has been confirmed by Union Ministers Amit Shah and Rajnath Singh. He also targeted the political parties involved in the JAC meeting, suggesting they are embroiled in corruption scandals. Sanjay mentioned that the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) is trying to distance itself from its past wrongdoings by partnering with the Congress party. He highlighted a significant liquor scam linked to the DMK in Tamil Nadu and expressed discontent towards the Congress government in Telangana. Sanjay expressed confidence that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will gain more influence in the South, including Telangana. He dismissed rumors that he is looking to become the BJP's state president, stating that his focus is on his ministerial duties. Earlier in the day, he visited villages affected by recent heavy rains and hailstorms in the Karimnagar area. He urged the State government to provide immediate compensation to farmers who lost their crops due to the weather.
