Bangladesh football team criticizes Shillong training facilities
The Bangladesh football team is unhappy with the training facilities in Shillong ahead of their AFC Asian Cup Qualifiers match against India. They had to practice on a poorly maintained grass surface at the North-Eastern Hill University Ground. Assistant coach Hasan Al Mamun expressed frustration about the conditions, hinting that it might be part of a strategy against them. He mentioned that the team was prepared for potential injuries on the surface. However, he acknowledged that the lack of good training facilities could impact their performance. Defender Saad Uddin also raised concerns about the training schedule. He said their practice was delayed from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM, which disturbed their routine. He noted that when they visited India for a World Cup qualifier in 2019, they had access to much better facilities. Despite these challenges, the team remains focused on their goal of winning the upcoming match. They are determined to overcome the difficulties and concentrate on their training.
