Bangladesh's interim government vows free and fair elections

Mohammad Yunus, Chief Advisor of Bangladesh's interim government, pledged to ensure free and fair elections during the third Voice of Global South Summit. Following the resignation of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on August 5, 2024, amid student-led protests, Yunus emphasized reforms in various sectors. The protests resulted in over 560 deaths in three weeks, with ongoing violence reported against minorities.
