Bannon suggests Kash Patel as potential replacement for FBI Director Wray

Steve Bannon has suggested that Kash Patel could replace FBI Director Christopher Wray after January 20. This follows reports that Trump may seek to replace Wray, who has served since 2017. Bannon indicated that Patel would take over if Wray resigns or is fired. Sources say Wray might step down if Trump expresses a desire for a change. Patel, a former National Security Council staffer, has been critical of the Justice Department and FBI. He previously was considered for the CIA director position but was passed over for John Ratcliffe.
