Barbara Broccoli's stalker charged after multiple violations

Barbara Broccoli, the former producer of the James Bond films, has been dealing with a stalker for seven years. In court, it was revealed that Daniel Wilson, 36, contacted her 11 times after being given a restraining order in 2017. His contact occurred between April 2022 and April 2023. Wilson appeared in court via video link from a hospital where he is detained under the Mental Health Act. He faces 11 charges of breaching the restraining order, but he did not enter a plea. The court stated he must remain in the hospital and is prohibited from contacting Broccoli or using devices that can access the internet. Broccoli, who recently oversaw the James Bond franchise with her half-brother, expressed concerns over the new ownership of the franchise by Amazon, led by Jeff Bezos. She has been involved with the Bond films since she was 17 and has produced many significant titles. Wilson is scheduled to return to court on May 27. The next Bond film has not yet been scripted, and no new actor has been cast for the role.
