Barn fire in Tarporley, Cheshire; crews managing hotspots

A barn caught fire in Cheshire on Saturday, March 22, leading to a major response from fire crews. The fire involved a large amount of hay and animal feed, causing the building to be fully engulfed in flames. Firefighters received reports of the blaze around 11:58 AM. They quickly arrived at the scene on High Street, near Tarporley. To manage the fire effectively, they split the area into three sections. By about 5 PM, the fire was under control, and the number of fire engines attending was reduced to three. Crews continued to use two hose reel jets to put out any lingering hotspots. Witnesses reported seeing six fire engines and three station managers at the scene. Firefighters plan to stay overnight to ensure the fire is fully extinguished and to monitor the situation.
