Bath to get second Wetherspoons pub soon
Wetherspoons is set to open a second pub in Bath, just months after the first one. The new venue will be on George Street and is expected to cost around £1.5 million to develop. This site was previously a Revolution bar. While the opening date has not been announced, the pub wants to start serving drinks as early as 7 am. Currently, the site is only allowed to open two hours later. The company believes that opening earlier won’t disturb local residents since the venue used to operate late at night without complaints. This new pub may be named The Old Post Office, reflecting the building's history as a post office for 70 years. This is part of Wetherspoons' plan to expand, with plans to open more than 800 pubs across the UK by the end of the year. Wetherspoons also celebrated St. Patrick’s Day by lowering the price of Guinness to £3.15, allowing customers to save on their drinks. They have a promotion called Monday Club, offering several drinks at discounted prices throughout the week. In total, Wetherspoons plans to open 13 new pubs this year, including locations in Manchester Airport and Fulham Broadway Station. The expansion includes new venues in various towns and holiday parks across the UK.
