Battle Brothers receives major update with new content
Battle Brothers received its first update in two years this week. The game, which first launched nearly eight years ago, has not seen new content since then. Developer Overhype Studios announced the update just before the game’s eighth anniversary on March 24. The update includes some new features. Players can explore two new legendary locations. The first, named Abandoned Village, is suitable for mid-game mercenaries and can be found during world exploration. The second location is more challenging and will only appear after players conquer the first one. Both locations offer opportunities for loot and legendary items. To access the new content, players must start a new campaign. This may be inconvenient, especially for those who use mods, as many of them will not function with the updated version. Overhype Studios advised that players can either disable their mods or revert to the previous game version until the mods are updated. The update also includes numerous fixes for issues reported over the past year. These range from small bugs to rare glitches that impacted gameplay. For the complete list of fixes, players can check the update announcement. Finally, players might find it a good time to try the game, as it is currently 70% off on Steam.
