Bay City approves $5 million for bridge improvements
Bay City has approved a $5 million deal to address its aging bridges, a decision made by nine city commissioners in December 2019. This agreement marks a significant step in improving local infrastructure. Vice President JD Vance visited Bay County on March 14, promoting economic policies from the Trump administration. His visit included a tour of a plastics manufacturer and drew both supporters and protesters. Bay City Public Schools has selected Grant Hegenauer as the new superintendent, finalizing his contract on March 10. Additionally, the Independence Bridge will have nightly closures from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. until March 21 for maintenance.
