B.C. farmers can apply for technology funding now
Farmers in British Columbia can now apply for funding through the B.C. On-Farm Technology Adoption Program, which reopened on March 17, 2025. This program, launched in 2023, offers cost-shared funding to help farmers adopt new technologies. The current intake focuses on labor-saving technologies to improve efficiency and address labor shortages. Up to $2.25 million is available for the 2025/2026 fiscal year, with applications open until April 28. Since its launch, the program has awarded $4.12 million to support 85 farm projects. The funding aims to enhance productivity and competitiveness in the agricultural sector amid rising costs and market changes.
