B.C. inmate charged with murder after cafeteria fight

A British Columbia inmate, Therae Racette-Beaulieu, has been charged with second-degree murder following a fatal cafeteria fight on December 15. The victim, Christopher Braun, suffered fatal injuries during the incident. In addition to Racette-Beaulieu, three other inmates face assault charges related to the attack. Police reported that several inmates were involved, and one other inmate was seriously injured and required hospitalization. All four inmates charged are currently in custody and awaiting their next court appearances. The incident occurred at the Kent Institution in Agassiz, B.C.
