B.C. man arrested in Calgary after cocaine found in luggage during layover

A man from British Columbia was arrested in Calgary last month after border officers found 12 kilograms of cocaine in his luggage during a layover. The discovery occurred on November 17 at Calgary International Airport. The Canada Border Services Agency searched the bag, which was intended for a flight to the United Kingdom. The bag also contained a tracking device. Justin Harry Carl Beck, 29, faces charges for exporting a controlled substance and possession for trafficking. He is set to appear in court in Calgary on May 6.
