B.C. man charged in Northwest Territories shooting death

RCMP in the Northwest Territories have charged a man from British Columbia in connection with a fatal shooting. The incident took place in Fort Providence early Saturday morning. Police found a 31-year-old man dead at a home. Two other people were also discovered injured, with one being airlifted to Yellowknife for urgent care. A 22-year-old man from Surrey, B.C., has been charged with murder, attempted murder, and two counts of aggravated assault. Authorities have issued a countrywide arrest warrant for the suspect, who is considered armed and dangerous. RCMP believe the shooting is related to the illegal drug trade.
