BCCI summons IPL 2025 captains for important meeting
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has called a meeting for all ten captains of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. This meeting will take place at the BCCI headquarters in Mumbai on Thursday, March 20. The event is important as it aims to inform captains about new rules and changes for the upcoming season. Along with the captains, managers from all ten teams have also been invited. The meeting will start at noon and is expected to last for about an hour. After the briefing, there are plans for sponsor activities at a nearby hotel. This season is set to begin on March 22 in Kolkata. The first match will feature the defending champions, Kolkata Knight Riders, against Royal Challengers Bengaluru. Recently appointed captains, such as Axar Patel of Delhi Capitals, will join other leaders like Rishabh Pant and Hardik Pandya at this meeting. Most captains have already reunited with their teams, with players returning from the ICC Champions Trophy. Pat Cummins, the captain of Sunrisers Hyderabad, has confirmed his full availability for IPL despite the upcoming World Test Championship final.
