Beacon launches campaign to honor women in roofing
Beacon has launched its fifth annual campaign to honor women in the roofing industry. The campaign recognizes female professionals in the U.S. and Canada who excel in their roles, whether they work on job sites, in offices, or within their communities. Nominations are now open, and the public can submit candidates until April 18, 2025. Beacon is looking for women who demonstrate excellence, leadership, and a commitment to safety and community. The final five nominees will be announced in May, and the public can vote for their favorite. The winner and runners-up will be revealed in June, and all five honorees will receive funding for professional development. Elizabeth Fenbert, Beacon's Vice President of Sales, emphasized the importance of recognizing women as leaders and innovators in the roofing industry. Last year's winner, Brooke Laizure, praised the campaign for supporting women's growth in the field. Nominations can be made through Beacon’s website or via email. Details should include the nominee's name, role, achievements, a brief biography, and a photo. Beacon, founded in 1928, is a leading distributor of roofing and building products, with operations in the U.S. and Canada.
