Bears consider drafting running back Omarion Hampton
The Chicago Bears are looking to improve their running game for the upcoming NFL season. Last season, they struggled at that position, especially with D'Andre Swift, who averaged only 3.8 yards per carry due to a weak offensive line. With the draft approaching, the Bears might search for a new running back. Ashton Jeanty from Boise State is considered the top running back prospect. The Bears have the 10th overall pick and could choose him. However, if Jeanty is already picked, Bears' analyst Bryan Perez believes they could trade down to the 21st pick with the Pittsburgh Steelers. In this scenario, the Bears would select Omarion Hampton from North Carolina. Hampton had an impressive season, rushing for 1,660 yards and 15 touchdowns. He is known for his strength and speed, making him a great fit for the Bears' offense. If the trade happens, the Bears would also receive additional draft picks from the Steelers. This would give their general manager, Ryan Poles, more opportunities to strengthen the team for a potential playoff run in the coming years.
