Belfast apartment evacuated due to masked men fires

Belfast police are investigating an arson attack at an apartment block in the city center. The incident happened late on Friday night, around 10:20 PM. Two masked men entered the bin storage area and started multiple fires. Firefighters quickly responded and put out the flames. However, the fire caused significant damage to the storage area. Some residents had to evacuate their apartments temporarily, but thankfully, no one was injured. The Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) called the actions of the attackers "mindless." They are asking for help from the public to identify the suspects. Detective Sergeant Leeman emphasized the risks posed during the incident. Authorities are reviewing CCTV footage and looking into other leads. They encourage anyone with information or relevant dash-cam footage to contact them.
