Belgorod region experiences difficult situation; one soldier killed
The situation in Russia's Belgorod region is reported to be difficult. Local officials say at least one soldier was killed due to shelling in the Krasnoyaruzhsky district. The regional government announced the casualty, noting that four other people were also wounded. Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov spoke about the challenges in the region through a video on Telegram. He mentioned that efforts by Ukrainian forces to cross the border had been stopped by Russian troops. Residents of the Krasnoyaruzhsky district shared concerns on social media indicating that authorities had restricted entry to the area for safety reasons. This action was confirmed by the district head, Vitaly Kutomanov. It is not clear if these restrictions are still in place. The Belgorod region often faces drone and shelling attacks amid the ongoing conflict with Ukraine. Reports from Russia's Defense Ministry stated that Russian forces intercepted several Ukrainian attempts to enter the region.
