Bengaluru contestants face police scrutiny over Instagram video
Bengaluru: Two contestants from a Kannada reality show have landed in trouble for a video they posted on social media. The video, lasting 18 seconds, was uploaded by Rajath Kishan G on Instagram. He was seen holding a sharp weapon along with fellow contestant Vinay Gowda. The video sparked concerns after police received a complaint about it. A sub-inspector reported that the duo was acting like rowdies in a public space, which could disturb peace and create fear among people. Police are investigating the matter under the Arms Act and public nuisance laws. The video, uploaded on March 18, quickly gained popularity, with over 52,600 likes and many comments. In the post, Kishan wrote a playful caption, but the police took it seriously. Vinay Gowda responded to the police summons, stating the video was for filming purposes and apologized. Kishan later added a caution to his post, advising viewers not to replicate the actions and confirming the weapon was a prop for the shoot. Despite this, he has not removed the video, leading police to prepare to serve notices to both contestants.
