Bengaluru hotel supplier arrested with hand grenade
A 23-year-old hotel supplier named Abdul Rehman was arrested in Bengaluru after a hand grenade was found in his bag. This incident happened during a routine check at a hotel in the Sampigehalli area on Friday. Rehman, who had just started working there, could not provide his Aadhaar card for verification. Hotel staff became suspicious and searched his bag, which was stored in a shed. Inside, they discovered a grenade. The police were called, and they confirmed the presence of the explosive. They took Rehman into custody for questioning. During the investigation, Rehman claimed he found the grenade on the road and decided to keep it in his bag. Police have opened a case under the Explosives Act and are looking into the incident further. They want to know where the grenade came from and if Rehman has any links to criminal activities. According to police officials, the grenade resembled a tennis ball and had two attached fuses. It has been safely disposed of, and samples are being analyzed at the Forensic Science Laboratory. Notably, Rehman does not own a mobile phone and has no previous criminal record.
