Bengaluru woman steals traffic police wheel clamp
A woman is wanted by Bengaluru police for allegedly stealing a wheel clamp from a parked car. The incident occurred on March 18 in the Rajaji Nagar area. A traffic policeman, Murali S.R., was on patrol when he received a complaint about a car with a noisy, defective silencer. He found the car parked improperly on the footpath and road. After identifying the owner, Suraj R., Murali spoke to a woman on the phone, who warned him against taking action. After placing a wheel clamp on the car, Murali left the area. However, the woman reportedly called a mechanic to remove the clamp. When Murali returned later, he discovered that both the car and the clamp were gone. Murali reviewed CCTV footage and reported the theft to his superiors. As a result, police charged the woman with theft, criminal intimidation, and intentional insult. Legal action is now being pursued against her.
