He humorously noted that he felt he “looked like a slob” next to Gomez, who wore a stunning dress designed by Ralph Lauren. Her dress weighed 35 pounds and featured 16,000 glass droplets and crystals, intricate details sewn on by a skilled team. Blanco highlighted the challenges Gomez faced getting ready. He mentioned that she had to stand on a moving bus because the dress was so heavy and could not sit down. A member of her glam team even had to sew her into the dress while they traveled to the Dolby Theatre. This year’s Oscars was significant for Gomez as it marked her first appearance at the event. Her film, "Emilia Perez," was nominated for several awards.
