Beth Kelly regrets attending Dinner Party with Teejay

Beth Kelly, a participant on Married At First Sight, shared her biggest regret about a recent Dinner Party with her groom, Teejay Halkias. The couple attended the event together after a difficult Homestay in Brisbane, but their unity quickly faded. Beth expressed frustration when Teejay wouldn't confirm if he wanted to continue their relationship after the show. Reflecting on the event, Beth said she wished she had entered the Dinner Party alone instead of with Teejay. She felt that since he had told her he didn't see a future with her, walking in together felt disingenuous. Beth stated, "You've basically just told me you don't see a future with me, why am I walking in and protecting you?" Despite the tension, there were light moments. An impromptu drinking game began where participants drank every time Teejay called Beth "darling," a term she found uncomfortable. Afterward, she declared that she doesn’t want anyone to call her "darling" ever again, particularly in light of Teejay's frequent use of the term during their conversations. Beth felt embarrassed during the Dinner Party, especially with her parents watching, and accused Teejay of leading her on. She later opened up about feeling disrespected and blindsided by his lack of romantic feelings. When asked if she felt he had gaslighted her, she agreed, saying there were signs that she ignored. Teejay, however, expressed a different perspective. He claimed he felt pressured by Beth’s family to express his feelings and tried to be honest about where he stood. He stated, "I don't necessarily think anything went wrong per se. I just don't think in the moment that my romantic feelings were growing."
