LUCKNOW: A bicycle rally took place on Sunday to promote health awareness in nearby villages. Over 200 students, doctors, and officials from King George's Medical University (KGMU) joined the event. The rally started at 6 am and ended at Shaheed Smarak on IIM Road. The goal was to educate villagers about important issues such as de-addiction, anti-dowry measures, and women's empowerment. The rally was launched by Prof. RAS Kushwaha, dean of student welfare, along with other faculty members. Former MP Kaushal Kishore and local MLAs Jai Devi and Amresh Kumar also participated. During the rally, speakers talked about the dangers of substance abuse and various health problems. Prof. Kushwaha highlighted that "awareness is the first step toward change" and stressed the importance of creating a healthier society. Prof. Rachna Verma shared information on cancer prevention. The event concluded with an oath-taking ceremony led by Kaushal Kishore. Participants pledged to fight against addiction and work to eliminate the dowry system.
