Biden approves long-range missiles for Ukraine to target deeper into Russia
President Joe Biden has approved the use of long-range Army Tactical Missile System (ATACMS) rockets by Ukraine, allowing strikes deep into Russian territory. This decision follows North Korea's military support for Russia and Ukraine's need to defend against ongoing attacks. ATACMS missiles can reach targets up to 190 miles away and are equipped with advanced guidance systems. Previously, Ukraine was limited to using Storm Shadow missiles only against targets within Ukraine and occupied Crimea, but now they can potentially strike further into Russia. Russian officials have warned that this move could escalate the conflict, suggesting it may involve NATO directly. They claim that using these missiles would change the nature of the war, indicating a significant shift in the dynamics of the ongoing conflict.
