Biden authorizes Ukraine to use US long-range missiles against Russia
President Joe Biden has authorized Ukraine to use US-supplied long-range missiles, specifically Army Tactical Missile Systems (ATACMs), to target deeper into Russia. This marks a significant shift in US policy after months of requests from Ukraine. The ATACMs have a range of up to 190 miles, allowing Ukraine to strike areas like Kursk, where Russian troops have been deployed. Previously, Ukraine was restricted from using similar weapons against Russia, which limited its military response. The decision comes amid concerns about North Korean troop involvement in the conflict. While some US lawmakers have criticized the move, Biden has not publicly addressed it during his recent trip to Brazil.
