Biden exits office with higher approval rating than Trump, poll shows

President Joe Biden's final approval rating is 36 percent, slightly higher than Donald Trump's 34 percent when he left office in 2021, according to a CNN poll. However, 61 percent of Americans view Biden's presidency as a failure. Biden's approval ratings on key issues are low, with only 31 percent approving of his immigration policies and 33 percent for his economic management. He fared better on protecting democracy (46 percent) and environmental policy (44 percent). Biden's favorability rating is 33 percent, close to a personal low. In contrast, 54 percent of Americans expect Trump to perform well upon returning to office next week.
