On Saturday, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar visited Patna to check on four important development projects. He opened a new road overbridge on the Bakhtiyarpur-Mokama four-lane national highway. This bridge is expected to make travel easier in the area. During his tour, Nitish Kumar also visited the MLA and MLC Housing Complex in Patna. He reviewed the work being done there and urged officials to speed up construction. The secretary of the building construction department, Kumar Ravi, told the CM that 75 flats for members of the legislative council are ready, while 246 flats for MLAs are being built. The CM inspected both floors of the MLA flats. He asked officials to keep the internal roads clean and to plant trees around the complex. He emphasized that all remaining construction work should be finished promptly. Nitish then looked at the construction of the Mithapur-Mahuli elevated road. The chairman of the Bihar State Bridge Construction Corporation, Shirsat Kapil Ashok, informed him that this 11-kilometer project should be done by April. The CM has requested officials to work faster on the elevated bridge and the road below it to ease traffic in the area. He also reviewed the widening of the old Patna-Gaya Road. He visited the Punpun T-junction to check on progress and urged the quick completion of the elevated road up to Punpun Ghat and the Lakshman Jhula bridge. Reflecting on his long history with the area, Nitish spoke to locals about how they were doing. Finally, in Bakhtiyarpur, he officially opened the new road overbridge and noted that it would significantly improve travel between Bakhtiyarpur and Mokama, enhancing connectivity between Patna and northern Bihar. He also monitored the work on the Bakhtiyarpur-Tajpur road, urging officials to complete it on time.
