Bihar Governor urges graduates to assist the underprivileged
Bihar Governor Arif Mohammad Khan spoke at the 4th convocation ceremony of the Central University of South Bihar (CUSB) on Thursday. He urged students to think beyond just their degrees and jobs. He emphasized the importance of helping those who have not had the chance to attend school, college, or university. During his speech, Governor Khan encouraged graduates to serve humanity and focus on public and world welfare. He shared inspiring quotes from the Bhagavad Gita and other ancient texts. He recognized that this day marks both an important milestone and the start of a new journey for the students. Bihar Minister Prem Kumar also spoke at the event, highlighting the vital role of youth in the national vision of 'Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat'. CUSB Vice Chancellor Prof. Kameshwar Nath Singh thanked the Governor, the minister, and the founding VC, Prof. Janak Pandey, while discussing the university’s achievements and future plans. The ceremony included the awarding of medals and degrees to academic toppers. Out of the 80 top-performing students in undergraduate and postgraduate courses, 59 were girls who received gold medals. For the years 2021 and 2022, several Chancellor and School Gold Medals were awarded to outstanding students. A total of 1,346 students received their degree certificates during the convocation ceremony, which included graduates from undergraduate, postgraduate, and PhD programs.
