BINI documentary shortlisted at 2025 New York Festivals

The documentary “BINI Chapter 1: Born to Win” has been shortlisted for the 2025 New York Festivals TV & Film Awards. It is included in the Documentary: Biography or Profiles category. The film tells the story of the girl group BINI and was produced by ABS-CBN and iWant Originals. This three-part series showcases the members of BINI: Jhoanna, Aiah, Colet, Maloi, Gwen, Stacey, Mikha, and Sheena. It follows them from auditions and training to their first concert. The first two chapters were released in 2024. Group leader Jhoanna expressed excitement about having their own documentary, calling it a validation of their hard work. The documentary is written by award-winning journalist Jeff Canoy and directed by Jet Leyco. In addition to BINI, GMA Network has five entries also shortlisted. These include various documentaries and news programs. The winners will be announced on May 22.
