Bishop Carroll girls basketball team reaches state semifinals
Bishop Carroll Catholic girls basketball team advanced to the PIAA Class 1A semifinals after defeating Williamsburg 60-47. This marks their first final four appearance in seven years. Freshman Emily Lucko led the team with 23 points. Bishop Carroll will face District 6 champion Bishop Guilfoyle in the semifinals. The Marauders previously defeated Bishop Carroll in two earlier matchups this season. The Huskies' defense played a crucial role, limiting Williamsburg's top scorer, LeeAnna Royer, to five points. The Huskies built a solid lead, leading 25-16 at halftime and maintaining control throughout the game. Sophomore Ava Pablic contributed significantly on defense, helping secure the victory.
