Bitcoin and Dogecoin rise as Ethereum falls following BlackRock's ETF options debut
Bitcoin and Dogecoin saw gains on Tuesday, while Ethereum dropped. Bitcoin reached a new all-time high of over $94,000 after the launch of BlackRock's Bitcoin ETF options, which generated over $1 billion in trading volume on its first day. Ethereum's price fell nearly 2% to around $3,112, marking a 5% decline over the past week. In contrast, Bitcoin gained about 4.6% during the same period. Total cryptocurrency liquidations reached $293 million, with a significant portion from bullish positions. The overall cryptocurrency market capitalization increased slightly to $3.08 trillion. Analysts noted a decrease in social media enthusiasm despite Bitcoin's rise, suggesting potential for Ethereum to outperform Bitcoin in the near future.
