Bitcoin approaches $100,000 as investment surges following Trump's election
Bitcoin has surged over 40% since Donald Trump's election, nearing the $100,000 mark for the first time. This rise marks a significant shift for skeptics of the cryptocurrency. Over $4 billion has been invested in US-listed bitcoin exchange-traded funds since the election. Bitcoin is now the top-performing asset class, up more than 130% this year. Trading volume for MicroStrategy, a popular stock for bitcoin exposure, reached a record $136 billion last week, surpassing the previous high set by GameStop in 2021.
