Bitcoin hits record high of nearly $95,000 as options trading begins
Bitcoin has reached a new record high of nearly $95,000, driven by the start of options trading for major bitcoin exchange-traded funds (ETFs) and expectations of supportive policies from the incoming Trump administration. The cryptocurrency hit $95,004.50 during early Asian trading, marking a significant increase. This surge follows Trump's election victory, which has added over $800 billion to the broader crypto market. MicroStrategy's shares also rose sharply, reflecting investor interest in the cryptocurrency market. The company plans to raise $2.6 billion to expand its bitcoin holdings, which currently total around $31 billion.
