Bitcoin reaches record high following Trump's election victory
Bitcoin's price reached an all-time high of over $82,000 this weekend, following Donald Trump's victory in the 2024 election. This marks a significant increase from $68,000 on Election Day. The surge in bitcoin's value comes after a period of relative stability, where prices mostly ranged between $50,000 and $70,000 from March to November. Year-to-date, bitcoin has gained over 85%. Other cryptocurrencies and related stocks also saw gains. Coinbase shares rose about 14%, while Robinhood and Dogecoin experienced significant increases, with Dogecoin up more than 160% in the past month.
