BJP aims to defeat opposition in Prayagraj elections
Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya urged party workers to unite and strengthen their efforts for upcoming elections. He wants to see the party succeed in the panchayat and assembly polls, particularly aiming to defeat the SP, BSP, and Congress in Prayagraj district. Maurya described the party workers as its greatest asset. He emphasized that their goal should be to secure a significant win in all 12 assembly seats during the 2027 elections. He criticized the SP's ideology, calling it a betrayal to the public and suggesting it favors criminals and violence. During his visit to Prayagraj, Maurya responded to comments from political opponents. He condemned the glorification of historical figures he views negatively and labeled remarks about the Maha Kumbh event as disrespectful. Maurya said that the people will not forget the interruptions by Congress leader Rahul Gandhi during discussions on this significant event. He also congratulated newly appointed district presidents and praised locals for their role in the successful organization of the recent Maha Kumbh, which attracted millions of devotees. Maurya expressed confidence that the party will continue to grow and achieve a strong electoral performance, aiming for more than 60% of the vote. He reflected on past election successes and indicated that the party is ready for future challenges.
