BJP calls for Hindu unity during Ram Navami in Bengal
BJP and TMC are clashing over Ram Navami celebrations in West Bengal. Trinamool Congress Minister Sobhondeb Chattopadhyay accused the BJP of using religion for political gain. He claimed that the BJP is promoting division among communities as they face failure in other areas. Suvendu Adhikari, the Leader of the Opposition from BJP, countered the accusations. He called for Hindu unity, stating that Hindus will take a stand during the celebrations. Adhikari announced plans for large rallies to ensure the observance of Ram Navami across the state. Chattopadhyay remarked that the BJP's focus on religious issues is an indication of their failures. He expressed disbelief at the recent heightened discussions surrounding Ram Navami, stating it was uncommon in the past. Adhikari claimed that the current government under Mamata Banerjee is trying to appease minority voters and has attempted to limit Ram Navami celebrations. Adhikari further stated that millions of Hindus are expected to participate in the rallies. He declared that any attempts to hinder the celebrations would face strong opposition. With Ram Navami approaching, he asserted that the BJP would ensure the festivities continue without disruption.
