BJP engages non-resident Biharis to secure votes
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is reaching out to Bihari voters who live in other states as elections approach. There are about two crore Biharis working outside their home state. The party believes these voters can play a key role in the upcoming elections. To engage with non-resident Biharis, the BJP has created a dedicated team. Leaders are being sent to 75 locations in 27 states across India. The campaign has already started, with Satish Chandra Dubey, the Minister of State for coal and mining, visiting Kolkata to connect with voters. During his visit, Dubey held meetings in different parts of Kolkata and spoke with Chhath Puja organizers. He encouraged Biharis to return home to see the development that the current government has achieved. Dubey emphasized the emotional connection many people have with their homeland and invited them to help decide the future government. The outreach program will run until March 30. In Bihar, a team will continue to build relationships with Biharis living elsewhere. The BJP believes that many of these voters support them and hopes to secure their participation in the upcoming elections.
