The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is planning to create a 24-member team for each of its three regions in Prayagraj. These regions are Maha Nagar (city), Ganga Paar (trans-Ganga), and Yamuna Paar (trans-Yamuna). This new team will consist of a president, eight vice presidents, eight secretaries, four general secretaries, an office in-charge, a treasurer, and a media in-charge. Sanjay Gupta has been appointed as the new president for the Maha Nagar region. Nirmala Paswan and Rajesh Shukla will lead the Ganga Paar and Yamuna Paar regions, respectively. Notably, the party has ensured representation by appointing one woman among the three district presidents. BJP spokesman Rajesh Kesarwani said the new office bearers would be formed after the Navratri festival. He mentioned that the party has already appointed mandal presidents in all 60 mandals of the district. This includes 15 in the city area and 45 in the trans-Ganga and trans-Yamuna regions. Kesarwani added that there are plans to appoint additional office bearers in 22 other cells and sections within the party. This effort is aimed at strengthening the party's organizational structure in preparation for the assembly elections in 2027. The recent changes in leadership have brought new faces to key positions in Prayagraj district.
