BJP protests in Coimbatore against delimitation meeting
BJP leaders held black flag protests in Coimbatore on Saturday. The protests took place outside their homes and were aimed at condemning a meeting about constituency delimitation organized by the DMK party. S R Sekar, the state BJP treasurer, participated in the protest in the Ganapathy area. He criticized the state government for ignoring important issues, such as disputes over water resources with Kerala and Karnataka. He pointed out that the government should focus on these disputes instead of the upcoming delimitation plans. Sekar also referenced a recent visit by Union home minister Amit Shah. He claimed Shah assured that no constituencies would be reduced. Sekar accused Chief Minister M K Stalin of distracting the public from pressing issues, including the Tasmac liquor scandal. G K Nagaraj, the president of the state BJP Farmers' Wing, also protested with black flags outside his house. Many other BJP members joined in similar protests throughout the district.
